We’re also sharing the recipe for our famous sugared Prosecco grapes – so easy to make, and such a hit for parties!
Whether you’re hosting New Year’s or visiting relatives or friends, I’ve compiled a few of my favorite recipes {many of which have proven to be your favorites, too} to serve that are both effortless and delicious.
I can often make a whole meal out of some of my favorite dips recipes, most of them are ready in just five minutes hands on time!
Just like these grapes we’re sharing – they take just a couple minutes to throw together, and then you’ll let the fridge and freezer do all the work!
New Year’s Dinner Ideas
Think of your New Year’s Eve menu ideas as one or two favorites from each of these categories. You’ll want to choose a couple options for each course, so to speak:
- Appetizers
- Salad (or soup, if you wish)
- Mains
- Sweets
Of course, don’t forget a signature cocktail! My favorite New Year’s cocktails always involve champagne, of course. Learn how to set up the most fabulous Mimosa Bar – what could be better for a celebration to ring in the new year?
Tips
- Plan ahead! If you’re hosting a New Year’s Eve party, get organized a week or so in advance, if possible. This allows you to get your groceries ordered or take an efficient shopping trip!
- Prep early. Try to all your chopping, mixing and creating in the 48 hours prior to your event. The more you accomplish ahead of time, the better you’ll feel on the day of your party!
- Arrange serving platters and glassware ahead, too. I like to think ahead about which dishes, bowls and platters I’ll need for serving and get them lined up on our island or table. Of course, same goes for the bar area!

New Year’s Eve Desserts
I’d love to hear from you! What are your favorite New Year’s Eve recipes? Are you hosting, or heading out to a festive gathering?
Last but not least, here’s our fabulously festive recipe for sugared Prosecco grapes – chilled to perfection!
New Year’s Eve Menu: Sugared Prosecco Grapes
Ingredients
- 3 cups green grapes removed from stems
- 1 cup Prosecco (or any favorite bubbly)
- 3 tablespoons white granulated sugar
Instructions
- Place grapes in a bowl and cover with champagne. Allow to marinate refrigerated for 12+ hours.
- Drain grapes, toss in sugar and freeze 2 hours before serving.
Julie’s Tips
How to Store
- Room Temperature – You can leave these out for up to 24 hours but of course they won’t stay frozen for very long! They are good either way, though.
- Refrigerator – You can store your refrigerated grapes before (and after) serving for up to 48 hours. This means a total of up to four days refrigerated.
- Freezer – Store your Prosecco grapes in the freezer in an airtight container or ziploc bag for up to a month.
