  3. Wrap – Place goat cheese in the center of the puff pastry and fold it over to cover cheese, trimming excess, tucking and pinching dough to seal. 
  4. Make Egg Wash – Beat egg and water in a small bowl. Brush pastry with the mixture to coat all sides. 
  5. Bake – Bake until golden brown.
  6. Drizzle – Top with a drizzle of honey. Allow to stand 10 minutes before serving.

Ingredients  

  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed according to instructions
  • 11 ounces goat cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon honey {or to taste}

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 400℉.
  • Roll thawed pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  • Place goat cheese in the center of the puff pastry and fold pastry over to cover cheese. Trim the excess, tuck and pinch the pastry to seal.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together egg and water. Brush egg wash onto pastry coating all sides.
  • Bake 20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and drizzle with honey. Allow to stand 10 minutes before serving with crackers, crostini and fruit.
