  • Given that I always have a time constraint, I like to incorporate seasonal decor that last several months and can be created quickly.  Switching out your “artwork” is one easy way to transition your home with the seasons.  I’m anything but an artist, so don’t stop reading here.  It’s easy! One of the easiest diy fall decorations cane be made by sketching…

    Find photos online – photographs, coloring book sketches, etc.  Select one you like.  Open the image/resize it to the size you would like for it to be on your computer.

    Trace it!  Simple as that.  Tape a piece of paper {I used an artist pad purchased for $7 for an authentic look} to your monitor and start sketching!  The light from your screen illuminates the image allowing it to be easily “duplicated” in pencil sketch form.  I don’t own any traditional pencils, so I made do with the automatic one I found.  I attempted to shade some areas darker than others and eliminated the bodies of the deer.

    Each image can be created in just 10 minutes. Owls, turkeys and moose are also great for Fall.
