When I indulge in dessert, it has to be good. This Vanilla Ice Cream is easy, creamy adaptable and oh so delicious!

Growing up, we put a lot of effort into making mom’s homemade vanilla ice cream. I’m not going to lie, it’s good, but it requires several ingredients and hours of hard work before it comes to fruition!

We don’t always have the luxury of breaking out the ice cream machine and spending hours beside it while it churns, tossing salt as we go.

Fortunately, there’s an incredibly good, two ingredient vanilla ice cream you can make it five minutes with almost no effort. It’s so incredible you’ll never feel the need to buy another carton of ice cream at the grocery store again!

No Churn Vanilla Ice Cream Ingredients

  • Heavy Cream – This is the foundation of homemade ice cream and the secret to making it so creamy!
  • Sweetened Condensed Milk – Makes ice cream delightfully sweet, creamy and thick!

How to Make No Churn Ice Cream

It takes just five minutes to make this homemade frozen dessert.

  1. Whip – In a mixing bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  2. Combine – Blend in sweetened condensed milk and pour into loaf pan.
  3. Freeze – Freeze until solid.

Recipe Variations

This recipe is the base for almost all of my no churn ice cream recipes!

I love making this base and dividing it into 3 miniature loaf pans, adding different “flavors” to each! These are some fun variations to try!

Homemade Ice Cream Without A Machine

I love my kitchen gadgets, but the ice cream machine is one of those that is not so regularly bought out.

I love that this is just so easy to make whenever you feel the craving for some ice cream! You just need to be patient and let it set (about 2 to 3 hours).

What To Serve With No Churn Vanilla Ice Cream

As with all ice cream, this is good enough to be served in a bowl by itself, or as an accompaniment to another dessert. Try it with:

Turn it into an ice cream pie! Use one of my no bake crust recipes, like Oreo Crust, Speculoos Crust, Pretzel Crust, or Graham Cracker Crust. You’ll NEVER regret this dessert!

You can top it off with strawberry sauce, salted caramel sauce or chocolate sauce!

Tips

  • Cold Cream – Make sure the heavy cream is cold before you whip it.
  • Freeze Time – After two hours of freezing, the ice cream will be at a soft serve consistency, freeze it longer if you prefer it to be more solid.
  • Add Vanilla – For even more vanilla flavor add Vanilla Extract or vanilla bean.

Serving Suggestions

This ice cream is delicious on its own, but even better with a fun topping or served in a unique way.
