I cannot tell you how many times I’ve been down to the last minute to create a flower arrangement for a get together or shower. Unfortunately, I don’t always have the time to drive downtown to the wholesalers to purchase my ideal blooms {garden roses, peonies, piano roses, need I continue?} & often grocery store flowers are picked over or standards that I don’t particularly care for. My solution to create a last minute DIY flower arrangement is to purchase a plant!

I selected this plant because of it’s subtle pink soft petals. Plants also come with complimentary greenery! They’re easy to work with & will often provide far more arrangements than a single grocery store bouquet. This plant yielded 2 small arrangements {as shown}, a couple buds in vases & I still have half the plant to use in the upcoming weeks or plant when weather permits. All for $8!

Prep the stems as you would with any flowers – just remove greenery that will fall below your vase & cut to proper height, working around the vase in a circular pattern to ensure a full arrangement.
