Get all the details about one of my favorite cream paint colors, Benjamin Moore Soft Chamois.

I discovered Benjamin Moore Soft Chamois from one of my favorite designers, Phoebe Howard. I love how warm it feels, yet still very light, giving the illusion of space in our foyer bath and creating a relaxing retreat in areas like our master bedroom.
When we moved into our home, we had the entire upstairs painted Benjamin Moore Soft Chamois, and have never looked back! In fact, we loved it so much we repainted our foyer bath in it as well and I often contemplate repainting our dining room with it because it’s current color feels a bit too cool with its lighting situation.

This is one of the most versatile paint colors I’ve used to date. It’s a great fit for a lot of spaces and it’s so soft.
During the day it looks light and beautiful, and at night warm, but not yellow or dirty.
To help you decide which paint color is right for you, I’m breaking them down with pros and cons of each, where they’re best used, etc.

I have used Soft Chamois in multiple rooms throughout my house because of your blog! Thanks! All of the rooms I have used this paint have hardwood. I want to use it in my bedroom and need new carpet. I’m struggling with finding something I like. Can I ask what kind and color of carpet you have in the pictures of your bedrooms?
Unfortunately it has been discontinued! I’m so disappointed because we have another bedroom we’d love to carpet.
Hi Julie!
What are your thoughts on Soft Chamois for kitchen cabinets?
If you’re doing your walls in it, it can be quite lovely. Test to see what you think morning, afternoon and evening.
I cannot find your link to the custom color in your kitchen. Could you please advise.
Hi Carol! Cream Kitchen Cabinets
We are painting a beach house and Im stuck between Soft Chamois and Swiss Coffee. We will be installed white kitchen cabinets or maybe a pale dusty blue – i would paint the whole house the same color and want it to be warm and cozy. I want to stick with a beachy pallet of sand and water. I have painted samples and just cant make up my mind… any tips?
I recommend trying samples of both and looking at them morning noon and night against your floors and other finishes.
I really like eggshell finish for livingroom paint do you think that would go well with classic white trim?
Thanks so much.
Absolutely!
