  1. Hello Julie- I grew up in St Louis and was a frequent visitor to Ted Drews. My go to was just a plain chocolate sundae with nuts. I need some clarity on the recipe. I’m not coming across and just fudge sauce but always hot fudge. Is it possible they are using a chocolate syrup with the marshmallow fluff. If you have a name brand of the fudge sauce please pass it on. Thanks -Rich

    1. Hi Rich!
I’m so glad you found our recipe! The hot fudge sauce we use is often called “hot fudge sauce” or just “hot fudge topping”. It’s easiest to find the Smucker’s brand version, which is called a hot fudge topping. We love the Williams Sonoma hot fudge, too, if you have one of their stores nearby.
I hope that helps, and I hope you enjoy!
      Julie

This hits it right on the mark. I lived a couple blocks from Ted Drewe’s for a number of years, and this sauce is the key to the Terramizzou Sundae and others. Thank you for figuring this out and posting it. I’m in Charlotte, NC now and missing TD’s in a big way!

    1. Hi Matt, thank you for the review. Glad you are able to have a little taste of Ted Drewes in Charlotte, enjoy!
