Peanut Butter S’mores Pie Recipe

Peanut Butter S’mores Pie – No Fire Pit Needed
I know we all here the word s’mores and think “I need to get the fire pit ready”, but don’t jump the gun on this recipe! No fire pit or fire at all is needed for this peanut butter s’mores pie.
Finally, you can enjoy all the wonders of the graham cracker, chocolate, marshmallow delight without having to endure the dreaded smoke in your face, and clothes that smell just plain burnt. It’s a true win-win situation.
What Makes it A Peanut Butter S’mores Pie?
The base of my peanut butter s’mores pie is my peanut butter cookies blended with crushed graham crackers, giving it a chewy texture. Of course, I crumbled the extra dough on top because waste not, want not, right?
Have you ever used a peanut butter cup on a s’more instead of a chocolate bar? If you haven’t I’m going to need you to do that right now before you finish reading this post. For all of you that have experienced such joy, this s’more pie gives you that combination, yet somehow better!
Let’s just dive into this pie, shall we?
How To Make Peanut Butter S’mores Into A Pie
Turing your favorite fireside treat into a pie is, well as they say “easy as pie”. You’ll start with your peanut butter and graham cracker cookie dough, then begin to layer the toppings, just as you would with a regular s’more.
Sprinkle on the chocolate and marshmallow fluff then top with more dough marshmallows. Once it’s all layered in your oven safe cast iron skillet, it’s good to go in the oven for 20-25 minutes.
Tips For Toasting Marshmallows in the Oven
Who can resist toasted marshmallows? Clearly not me. The toasted marshmallows are arguably the best part of this s’mores pie.
It’s the part that really gives off the nostalgic look and feel of s’mores roasted over the fire. Luckily you can still get the perfectly toasted marshmallows without ever lighting a fire!
- Marshmallows are highly flammable and can burn or light on fire easily, so it’s important to keep an eye on them, as to not ruin the whole pie.
- You want to make sure the skillet is placed directly in the middle of the oven. If it’s too close to the top element it can cause the marshmallows to heat quicker and burn.
- Be sure you have your oven to the right temperature, turning up the temperature in an attempt to shorten the baking time with only lead to a bunch of ruined marshmallows
