No! While many recipe blends list allspice on their list of ingredients, it will not capture the traditional blend of spices necessary for pumpkin spice blends.

Is pumpkin pie spice a good substitute for cinnamon in recipes?

Since cinnamon is the bulk of most pumpkin pie spice blend recipes, pumpkin pie spice makes an excellent substitute for cinnamon in your baking.

Thank you so much for this recipe! I frequently see recipes containing pumpkin pie spice but is not available in Ireland and I had no idea what was in the mix. Of course I have all the spices in my cupboard so it won’t be a problem in the future.
