I want to paint my kitchen a gray. My cupboards are brown but have a reddish hue to them. What color of grey would go with this
Hi Helen,
I would stick with a warm cream color, personally. Gray is on the cool side of the color spectrum, and wood with a red tint will be warm. They just won’t work together, unfortunately. Just out my posts about Cream Paint Colors and Warm White Paint Colors. I even have a guide to greige paint colors, which will be some options for neutral beige tones that have a little gray to them – that might be a good compromise for you. You can find them all in the paint colors section!

I am looking to paint my house in a white color. The house is facing SW. There is very little natural light inside the house, especially in the main living area (the main-living-area is family room+ kitchen+ dining). There is no windows on the sides of this main-living-area since its one side is a bedroom and other side is garage. There is only windows in the front and back of the main-living-area .There is a porch on the front and screened deck on the back. With all this , it feels dark and gloomy inside the main-living-area. Can you please recommend a white paint color that will brighten up my main-living-area.
