I’ll Be Home for Christmas

snowy christmas door decorations

A few years ago, we made the commitment to be home for Christmas. No more hustle and bustle on Christmas day, just waking up to the wide eyes and wonder on Christmas morning – at home for Christmas.

We’ve been spending the day in our pj’s, making meltaway muffins and are having family over for games and an early dinner {with firehouse green beans, of course}!

Since I didn’t do a full home tour this year, I thought I’d take you room to room to share some of my favorite moments.

Since we’re friends, come on in through the side entrance!

In the breakfast room, I created a centerpiece with cedar garland.

I enchanced a basic wreath for the entryway and while I had intended to add a garland to the staircase again, time was not on my side.

The family room was warmed up with a cozy throw and a couple potted paperwhites. I have two more plantings staggered to enjoy them throughout January.

This year stockings returned to the living room with ribbons to garnish them and a drapey fresh pine garland.

I love that their Christmas bedroom decor doesn’t have to be taken down tomorrow, but feels magical all winter long. Some of Adalyn’s Nutcracker themed bedroom may stick around even longer.
