    As you know by now, I love making homemade pasta & that doesn’t stop with the basics like spaghetti & fettuccine – I also enjoy making homemade ravioli. One of our favorites, pear ravioli, also happens to be on the lighter side, making it a great after the holiday addition to our menu rotation. You just need a few fresh ingredients to make a light & flavorful dinner.

    Homemade Ravioli with Pear & Pecorino

    Prep Time 20 minutes
    Cook Time 8 minutes
    Total Time 28 minutes


    • 1 pear
    • 8 oz Pecorino Romano freshly grated
    • 1.5 Tbsp mascarpone cheese
    • fresh pasta or wonton wrappers
    • 1/2 c butter
    • freshly grated parmesan


    1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil & reduce to medium.
    2. Peel & grate pear.
    3. Combine pear, pecorino & mascarpone.
    4. Using two sheets of pasta, lightly flour countertop & lay one down. Fill each ravioli with a spoonful of mixture. Add the second sheet of pasta on top, lightly seal and with a cookie or pizza cutter.
    5. Cook pasta for 6 minutes, meanwhile, in a large saucepan melt butter on medium heat. Add ½ c of pasta water. Strain ravioli & toss in butter mixture.
    6. Top with freshly grated parmesan cheese & fresh ground black pepper to taste.
