Lavender and Lemon Body Scrub Ingredients
- Vitamin E Oil – known for moisturizing, it prevents and treats dry, flaky skin. It’s said to be anti-aging, but there is little evidence to that. You can substitute with almond oil or grape seed oil which are available at your grocery store. Jojoba oil and coconut oil also work well.
- Sugar – white granulated sugar gently scrubs away dead skin. If you prefer, you can make it a salt scrub by simply replacing sugar with sea salt.
- Lavender Essential Oil – this calming scent promotes relaxation. You can substitute your favorite essential oil.
- Lemon Zest – the zest of 1 lemon adds an additional exfoliating element while adding natural fragrance.
- Lavender Buds – optional for a hint of sweet fragrance, color and texture.
One of the great things about this recipe is that you can make this to your preference. You can add as little or as much lavender or lemon zest as you want.
How to Make This Easy Body Scrub Recipe

- Use a scrub is in the shower or bath applying in a circular motion. Rinse off with warm water.

How do you keep the lavender buds from going down your drain? I’ve also wondered about your bath salts that also have lavender buds and am curious how you keep your drains clog-free. Any suggestions?
Thank you for so many wonderful scrubs & bath salts! Whenever anyone I know wants to buy commercial scrubs, I always tell them about this site.
Thanks, Beth. I don’t, but they don’t clog the drain – they are small enough they float right on down.
