  • It’s Day 4 of Fall Cookie Week and I’m celebrating with Glazed Apple Pie Spice Cookies and a new pair of yoga pants. I actually prefer to call them happy pants.

    I love topping my cookies with something. Sometimes it’s a crack of sea salt, powdered sugar, icing or in this case, I’m doubling up! They’re rolled in powdered sugar just before baking and topped with an apple cider glaze when they come out of the oven. It hardens to perfection and adds a hint of fall I can’t resist.

    Glazed Apple Pie Spice Cookies

    Prep Time 10 minutes
    Cook Time 9 minutes
    Total Time 19 minutes
    Servings 24


    • 1/2 c butter softened
    • 1 c sugar
    • 1 egg
    • 2 tsp apple pie spice
    • 1 1/2 c flour
    • 1/4 tsp baking powder
    • 1/8 tsp baking soda
    • 1/4 tsp salt


    • 1/2 c powdered sugar {also known as confectioner's sugar}


    • 1 1/2 Tbsp apple cider
    • 3/4 c powdered sugar


    1. Preheat oven to 35o degrees.
    2. In a mixing bowl/mixer, cream butter and sugar. Add in egg.
    3. Add apple pie spice, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt until just combined.
    4. Use a cookie scoop or roll 1" balls and roll in powdered sugar.
    5. Bake 9 minutes. 
    6. Meanwhile, combine ingredients for glaze. Warm if needed to drizzle on top of cookies. Allow to set before stacking cookies.
