It’s fall and I’m celebrating with Glazed Apple Pie Spice Cookies and a new pair of yoga pants. I actually prefer to call them happy pants.

These cookies are just so perfect for fall and Thanksgiving, they’re the perfect treat once the temperatures start to drop and work marvellously with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate. These cookies really encapsulate the season for me; apples and sweet spice just scream fall!

Glazed Apple Pie Spice Cookie Ingredients
- Butter
- Sugar
- Egg: Preferably free run / organic and as fresh as you can get
- Apple Pie Spice
- Flour
- Baking Powder
- Baking Soda
- Salt
- Powdered Sugar – Also known as confectioner’s sugar
- Glaze ingredients: Apple cider and powdered sugar
You are going to love how easy it is to make these cookies! In fact, you can make it even easier if you whip up a batch of my favorite homemade apple pie spice blend to store in your pantry ahead of time!
How To Make Glazed Apple Pie Spice Cookies
- Prep -Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Combine Wet Ingredients – In a mixing bowl/mixer, cream butter and sugar. Add in egg.
- Add Dry Ingredients – Add apple pie spice, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt until just combined.
- Make Dough Balls – Use a cookie scoop or roll 1″ balls and roll in powdered sugar.
- Bake – Bake 9 minutes.
- Make Glaze – Meanwhile, combine ingredients for glaze. Warm if needed to drizzle on top of cookies. Allow to set before stacking cookies.
I love topping my cookies with something. Sometimes it’s a crack of sea salt, powdered sugar, icing or in this case, I’m doubling up! They’re rolled in powdered sugar just before baking and topped with an apple cider glaze when they come out of the oven. It hardens to perfection and really turns these cookies into something special!
Easy To Make Apple Cookies
These cookies are so simple and easy to make, they’re a great recipe for the kids to help you out with. My girls love rolling them in the powdered sugar! The glaze really elevates the look and flavor of the cookies, but they are also great without if you are in a hurry to eat them!
Tips
- You can use a cookie scoop to measure out the cookies so they are even sizes.
- Bake the cookies in a pre-heated oven.
- Let the cookies cool to room temperature before you glaze them.
