Easy Guacamole Bites Appetizer
I love a delicious appetizer. And as much as I love to spend time in the kitchen with a big plan and lots of prep time, that’s not always a possibility in my life.
I’ve brought you a variety of super fast appetizers in the past. This quick and easy goat cheese spread, marinated cream cheese, and cream cheese bean dip come to mind as favorites that anyone can accomplish in a pinch.

I love guacamole – who doesn’t? I’ve shared a zesty guacamole dip in the past, as well as a mango guacamole with a sweet flavor to match the heat. Don’t skip my Avocado Mayo, too!
Sometimes you just need something that serves up cute with very little effort! That’s where these delicious little guacamole bites come in. They are fun, flavorful, and oh-so-festive for entertaining.
We love an individually served appetizer almost as much as we love all the dips. Check out these bacon wrapped little smokies, stuffed dates, and Boursin stuffed mushrooms for more delicious bites.

If you love appetizers as much as we do, don’t skip these incredible recipe round-ups! Check out Game Day Appetizers and Hors d’oeuvres for more delicious ideas.
Guacamole Bites Ingredients
These are so easy to make, but the best part? You can accomplish them in your own way, and with whatever effort you want to put in.
Case in point? I’m going to show you a quick and easy guacamole recipe to fill these with, but you can just as easily buy a pre-made guacamole and get these done so quickly! Here’s what you need if you decide to go the homemade guacamole route:
- Tostitos Scoops work best for these guacamole cups!
- Halved cherry tomatoes

- If you’d like, you can buy premade guacamole. If you’d like to make your own, you’ll need the following:
- 2 avocados, ripe, pitted
- Greek yogurt
- juice of one lime
- cilantro
- red onion
- tomato
- jalapeno
- salt and pepper

Let’s Make These Simple Guacamole Cups
Are you ready? Let’s make some guacamole, shall we?
- Dice jalapeño, cilantro, tomato and red onion and set aside.
- Halve, pit and mush your avocados with a fork in a bowl.
- Squeeze lime over the avocado and lightly mix.
- Add Greek yogurt for a creamy added flavor.
- Add diced ingredients to taste, leaving jalapeño seeds in if you really like it hot, or eliminating if not.
- Add salt and pepper.

Now you’ll need to make the guacamole cups themselves!
- First, lay your Scoops out on a tray.
- Gently scoop desired amount of guacamole into each chip.
- Top with a sliced cherry tomato for a colorful, flavorful finish!
Tips for the BEST Guacamole Bites
These are just as easy to make as they are to serve, but keep these tips in mind for the best outcome!
- I find pre-packaged guacamole to often hold a little more moisture. If you use premade guac, be sure to make these immediately before serving so they don’t become soggy!
- With homemade guacamole, I have been able to make these half an hour ahead of time with no problems.
- Feeling cheesy? Add a sprinkle of your favorite Mexican cheese for a delicious topper. Crumbled cotija cheese is delicious, as well as shredded cheddar or pepper jack!
- Spice things up with an extra slice of jalapeño on top alongside the tomato slice.

Are Guacamole Cups Gluten Free?
As I often mention, I love to make a special effort to accommodate our guests with food allergies or sensitivities. It’s such an easy way to make guests feel welcome and loved!
Most corn chip varieties, Tostitos brand Scoops included, are gluten free.
Luckily, these guacamole cups fit into both the vegetarian and gluten-free categories! In fact, if you eliminate the Greek yogurt from your guacamole preparation, you are creating a vegan appetizer, too.
Keep in mind, many pre-packaged guacamole brands have additives and ingredients you might not expect. Be sure to check packaging if you are accommodating gluten free guests.

If you try these guacamole cups, please come back to share using my 5 star rating in the comments below! Not only do I appreciate it, but I know readers do, too! For more easy recipes and simple living ideas, subscribe to my newsletter!

Hi! I want to make these for a party this Sunday, but how long do they last before the chip gets soggy? We’re making homemade guacamole.
Julie Blanner says
Hi! It’s best made no more than an hour in advance. Guacamole quickly browns and chips will eventually become soggy.
