Decorating with Tulips

  • Tulips tend to be plentiful this time of year and I love incorporating them with our home – inside and out. They’re beautiful, delicate and tend to last nearly a week in a vase. Fresh flowers are the easiest decor for end tables. Below, I chose soft lilac colored tulips and removed about 50% of the leaves and displayed them in a bud vase.

Vases don’t have to be traditional. I have an array of containers I like to use, including glass milk bottles, drink bottles {as shown below} and jars.

The elegance of a simple stem enhances any place setting. This tulip stem softened the beverage bar for a girls’ night I hosted.

Again, anything is a vase! A vintage gold chalice created a beautiful display for the dining room.
The potted tulips below have graced my dining room table for weeks. I’ll take my chances and plant them in the garden this weekend. If you have any bulbs around, go ahead and plant them. You never know what will happen!
