A Vodka Mojito is a refreshing citrusy cocktail made with fresh mint, lime, simple syrup, soda water and vodka. It is the perfect poolside or patio sip!

A vodka mojito is a delicious twist on the classic mojito. It has the classic sweet mint and lime flavor and really shines with vodka. Vodka is a neutral spirit with very little flavor. It makes this cocktail even more refreshing on a hot summer day!

I’m so excited to share another fun variation of one of my favorite cocktails – the mojito! This time, we’re mixing it up and making this mojito recipe with vodka.

If rum is a bit too sweet for you, you’ll love this delicious twist! My friend Rachel got me hooked on these vodka mojitos.

It’s quick and easy and so much better than a mix! You can whip them up with just a few fresh ingredients found in your pantry, garden or grocer.

This is AMAZING!! Seriously soooo delicious. Thanks so much for sharing!

Ingredients

  • Vodka – This spirit takes a back seat and allows the fresh flavors to shine.  Use an afforable choice in your mixed cocktails. Try Ketel One, Grey Goose, Absolut, or Tito’s (great option to make it gluten free). Or try an infused vodka – our favorites include Deep Eddy Peach and Smirnoff Infusions Watermelon and Mint.
  • Limes – Fresh limes add tangy citrus flavor.
  • Fresh Mint – Fresh mint adds an amazing fragrance to this cocktail.
  • Simple Syrup – Store bought or homemade simple syrup adds a hint of sweet flavor to this cocktail!
  • Soda Water – Reduce calories without losing flavor by substituting Sprite Zero in lieu of simple syrup and club soda. You can also use sparkling water if you prefer.

Test Kitchen Tips

  • Make a Pitcher – Use the 1x2x3x option in the recipe card to multiply ingredients and do the math for you.
  • Rim the Mojito Glass – Rub a lime wedge around the edge of a glass to moisten, then dip in a shallow plate of white granulated sugar.
  • Muddle Mint – You can use a muddler, the back of a spoon or even an ice cream scoop to crush the mint and lime, releasing their juices into the cocktail glass.

  • Soda Water – You can substitute sparkling water if you prefer.
