5 Minute Mini Pumpkin Table Runner

I’m so excited to share another 5 minute centerpiece with you – a mini pumpkin table runner that can grace your table all month!

Is it me or is fall the busiest season of the year? Back to school, fun activities to squeeze in and shorter days. We shamefully have yet to go apple picking or visit the pumpkin patch for the quintessential fall family photo. It’s the season that helped me embrace a minimal lifestyle and the courage to say “no.” It’s also the season that always inspires me to decorate, organically!

First I’d like to welcome new friends from On Sutton Place! It’s nice to “meet” you! Ann always has simple and beautiful ideas {and lots of pretty printables}. I’m excited to share my easy 5 minute mini pumpkin table runner as part of the Styled and Set Thanksgiving tour. Can you believe we’re talking about Thanksgiving already?

This pretty pumpkin table runner, along with many of my flower and table setting tutorials, can be created with a trip to the grocery store. This time of year, I have little time to make an extra trip, especially if I’m toting three pretty little babes along with me.

These pretty little mini pumpkins are usually available in the produce section of your local market. The girls love having mini pumpkins in their rooms and often decorate them, which would make a fun Thanksgiving after dinner activity before they are tossed in favor of Christmas decor. If you don’t see eucalyptus at your grocery store floral department, just ask. These pretty stems are often kept in their cooler for making flower arrangements since it’s considered greenery along with the hypericum berries.

Arranging flowers doesn’t have to be costly or time consuming. It also doesn’t require any special tools or talent {win for me!}. I created a little video to show you just how simple Thanksgiving entertaining can be with this step-by-step tutorial to recreate this mini pumpkin table runner inspired by my ever popular apple runner. You can get the flower recipe below!

I tend to prefer low lying centerpieces to allow plenty of room for conversation without playing peek-a-boo around flowers.

Miniature Pumpkin Table Runner

Prep Time 00:05 Total Time 0:05

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch seeded eucalyptus
  • 1 bunch eucalyptus
  • 5 miniature pumpkins
  • 1 stem hypericum berries

Instructions

Starting at the center of the table, place 2 stems of eucalyptus in opposite directions tucking one stem under the other.

Working up the stems, add additional stems at an angle until you near the end of your table.

Using stems of seeded eucalyptus, layer on top of the center stems, tucking the stem under the existing stems.

Add a mini pumpkin to the center, one on each side just beyond the seeded eucalyptus and stagger one near each end, leaving greenery beyond them.

Trim hypericum berries an inch or two below the lowest berry and nestle under two sides of your center pumpkin {offset}.

Repeat using just one set of berries under each additional pumpkin.
