Learn how to make a simple and affordable apple centerpiece, for easy entertaining this fall and beyond.
This pretty apple centerpiece couldn’t be easier to make – it takes just a few minutes and there’s no floral skills required!
I embrace all things fall. The flavors of my favorite foods, the scent of a cool breeze and the vastly changing color palette.
It just feels special – everyone is outdoors, getting together for various activities and it tends to feel busier than ever, but I love every minute of it.
I love to cook and have friends over, but I don’t always have time to plan, shop and prepare a meal. Rather than schedule a dinner party months in advance, I prefer to take a fresh approach to hosting friends. That’s where this apple centerpiece comes in!
Today I’m sharing the simplest fall entertaining idea – a fabulous apple centerpiece that anyone can make. Bonus: you can make it under 10 minutes, too!
Why You’ll Love this Apple Centerpiece
- Perfect for fall
- Great for Thanksgiving
- Inexpensive
- Fast
- Long-lasting
- So EASY!
This apple centerpiece takes just five minutes to make and lasts for weeks – and the ingredients are available at your grocery store!
Here’s What You’ll Need
- Apples
- Cheesecloth (found at the grocery store or in the sources below)
- Bunch of Seeded Eucalyptus – Read more about Eucalyptus here.
- Pillar Candles
How to Make this Apple Centerpiece
- Place your fabric down the center of your table to create a table runner, as a backdrop for the centerpiece.
- Determine where you want the center of your design. Place a stem of greenery at each end and continue to layer them until you reach the center.
- Add your largest pillar to the center and stagger them throughout. You can nudge the greenery aside if needed.
- Add in apples to fill any holes and to add a pop of color.
Tips
- Freeze fresh cranberries for a beautiful glistening touch at each place setting, as pictured.
- Always use unscented candles for table centerpieces, so the fragrance doesn’t compete with the aroma of the food.
- Try battery-operated pillar candles if you’d like! Sources below.
- Need to spend less on your apple centerpiece? Use greenery clippings from your own backyard!
- Get ideas for other types of grocery store flowers and greenery here.
- Any seasonal fruit will work for this centerpiece. Think about pomegranates, pears, clementine oranges, and more!
- If you want to preserve this look from season to season, choose dried apples and even preserved seeded eucalyptus. Find these in the sources section at the end of this guide!

Couldnโt find the cute white loaf pans at Michaels. Is that where u said u got yours? If so any other places I might find those? Thanks
Yes – I’d ask…they not only have them seasonally on the end caps and middle sections, but they added them to their celebration line. Otherwise you can use paper.
I receive your emails and love your posts but every time I click on a post to read further, up pops a message to get your baking secrets. I have received them and enjoyed them but am able now to decline them and read the rest of all of your posts.
Can you please clarify? You should be able to simply “x” out of it. Thank you for following along!
Cheese cloth works well over a canopy bed in the summer months as well.
What size cheese cloth are we buying?
Do we get a piece this big at the grocery? Or fabric store?
Love it!!!!
What a fun idea! I just purchase the little pack that is carried in grocery stores and stores like Williams Sonoma and Sur la Table. Thank you!
