If you’re a fan of cream sodas, you’ll be in love with this drink! In fact, if you’ve ever enjoyed a root beer float or a sweet iced coffee, this is something you’ve got to try. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it – and the girls absolutely love making them on the weekends!

Most of the recipes we found in viral videos required three ingredients… soda, syrup and creamer. When we found a bottle of sweetened coconut coffee creamer, I knew it would make this fun drink even easier to create! This might be the easiest recipe I’ve ever shared here, but I couldn’t resist.

Ingredients

  • Dr Pepper – Or your favorite soda.
  • Coconut Creamer – We used Coffee mate, but you can use any brand you like!
  • Lime – Optional addition that is a great burst of citrus flavor.

Variations

  • Make a dirty soda with any favorite (dark) carbonated soda. Think classic Coca Cola, diet sodas, flavored Cokes or Dr Pepper, or root beer!
  • Customize the calories to fit your needs with a sugar free creamer choice.
  • Coconut is the original flavoring for dirty sodas, but you can use other flavored creamers! Try caramel, vanilla and more.

Nugget Ice

Pebble ice is the absolute best for a dirty Dr Pepper! We love our Opal Nugget ice machine, but you can use any kind of crushed ice.

Tip from my Test Kitchen

Alcoholic Version: For an adult dirty Dr Pepper, add a splash of coconut rum or vanilla vodka.

Julie’s Tips

  • Make each dirty soda individually! To avoid the soda going flat, mix just before serving rather than making a large batch.
  • Fresh Lime Juice: Always use freshly squeezed lime juice for the best flavor.
  • Alcoholic Version: For an adult version, add a splash of coconut rum or vanilla vodka.

Variations

  1. Dirty Diet Dr Pepper: Use Diet Dr Pepper for a lower-calorie version.
  2. Dirty Cherry Dr Pepper: Use Cherry Dr Pepper for an added layer of flavor.
  3. Tropical Twist: Add a splash of pineapple juice for a tropical variation.
