1teaspoonvanilla extractsub with lemon or almond extract if you prefer
1cupfruitsliced, for decorating
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400℉.
In a large mixing bowl cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla.
¾ cup unsalted butter, 1 cup white granulated sugar, 2 large eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Gradually add flour, baking powder and salt.
2½ cups all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, ½ teaspoon salt
Press into greased tart dish or pizza pan and bake 10-12 minutes (could be longer depending on size and depth of your pan - use toothpick test to ensure doneness).
Combine icing ingredients of cream cheese, sugar and vanilla. Gently smooth onto warm crust.
Top with sliced fruit like grapes, pineapple, peeled citrus, kiwi, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, bananas and more!Use parchment paper to press down and smooth the cookie dough base into the pan, if necessary.Refrigerated sugar cookie dough is less sticky to work with, but who has the time for that?No need to allow the fruit pizza base to cool completely before frosting! Spread onto the warm fruit pizza crust for a smooth, even finish without the fuss.
