My Beer Bread mix is a great thing to keep on hand during the holidays as an easy gift. This four ingredient dry mix is perfect for gift baskets and it takes just minutes to put together.
3 cups all purpose flour, 1 tablespoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon salt, 3 tablespoons white granulated sugar
Pour into a clear plastic treat bag or jar, and seal with the label.
Notes
Use your favorite beer. I like to use a craft brown ale or porter that have stronger flavors, but a lager will also work well.
I recommend that you sift the flour before mixing it in with the other ingredients. It makes it lighter and easier to combine with the other dry ingredients.
Store it in an airtight container or in a plastic gifting bag. It will keep well for 2 to 3 months.
For Gifting:
Add a bottle (12 ounces) of beer and a stick of butter to the gift basket (this recipe requires 1/4 cup of melted butter).
How to Use this Beer Bread Mix:
To make the bread, add 12 ounces of beer and 1/4 cup of melted butter to the dry mix, pour into a greased loaf pan and bake for one hour at 375℉.
