Frosted Sugar Cookie Cake

This easy to make frosted sugar cookie cake is a favorite amongst children and adults alike.

Ingredients

  • 1 c butter softened
  • 1 c vegetable oil
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 c powdered sugar
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 1/2 c flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cream of tarter
  • 1 tsp baking soda

frosting

  • 1 c butter softened
  • 5 c powdered sugar
  • 1/4 c milk

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Combine butter, oil, sugars and vanilla until smooth. Blend in eggs.
  • Add flour, salt, cream of tarter and baking soda until blended in.
  • Press dough into a greased pan.
  • Bake 20 minutes*.
  • Combine butter, powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
  • Spread over cooled sugar cookie cake.

Notes

Baking time will vary depending on the pan you use. Reduce baking time for thinner cookie cakes checking in at 15 minutes and increase for thicker cakes if you want them more done.
