Ingredients

apples
(approximately 2½ cups) cored and cut into slices ¼ inch thick

butter
unsalted, melted

white granulated sugar

teaspoons
ground cinnamon
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350℉. Slice apples and melt butter.

In a small baking dish, toss melted butter, cinnamon and sugar to coat the apples.

Notes
VARIATIONS
Apples
– Pink ladies, braeburn, honeycrisp, jonagold, jonathan, gala, golden delicious, and granny smith are best for baking
Sugar
– Substitute with brown sugar for caramelized flavor.
Butter
– Salted or unsalted will work in this recipe. Use salted if you'd like a little balance to the sweetness!
HOW TO MAKE BAKED APPLE SLICES IN THE MICROWAVE
Melt butter.
Toss sliced apples in butter, cinnamon and sugar.
Microwave on high for 5 minutes or until tender.
