Beginning at base of the vase, add hot glue to the inside of the rope and press against vase. Add extra glue to end of rope to ensure it stays down.
Pull rope tightly and work your way around vase, gluing rope to vase as you go. Every now and then, add dab of glue to top edge of rope, then press next row of rope down against it.
Try to keep glue on back of rope so it won't be visible. If some glue shows, wait until it dries then pick it off with tweezers.
Stop just before reaching the end of the vase.
Once you reach the end, add extra glue to rope to secure it. Using a heavy clip, clamp rope so that it is well secured. Let the rope sit for a few minutes until glue is dried.
Cut extra rope using sharp scissors, one strand at a time. Use extra glue on loose strands if needed.
