Open pie maker. Optional, spray with cooking spray for easier release. Spread butter on one slice of bread and place butter side down in the pie maker.
2 teaspoons butter, 2 slices bread
Spread 1 teaspoon pizza sauce on the inside of bread to cover the interior surface. In the center, add cheese and toppings. Butter a second slice of bread and place on top, butter side up. Close pie iron and lock. Using your hands or a butter knife, peel excess bread.
2 teaspoons pizza sauce, ¼ cup shredded mozzarella, ⅛ cup toppings
Place over fire for 3 minutes. Rotate and return to the fire for another three minutes. To check desired doneness, position pie iron parallel to the ground and open 1-2 inches. When it is golden brown, remove from the heat and open one side of the pie iron and gently turn over to release the campfire pizza onto a plate to cool before serving.

Julie's Tips
I prefer using a round pie iron to ensure the crusts are sealed. If you are using a square pie iron, Bunny Bread is larger than most sandwich bread and square in shape, for the best coverage.
