This Goat Cheese Crostini Appetizer is made with fig butter and is an easy finger food that's perfect to serve to a crowd. Made with just a handful of ingredients this simple recipe is always a hit.
To make crostinis, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Slice a baguette thin, placing pieces on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and bake 6 minutes.
In a saucepan over medium low, add a tablespoon olive oil and thinly sliced onion. Sauté 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low and allow to caramelize another 10 minutes.
Spread fig butter on crostinis, top with onion, crumble fresh goat cheese, and a dash of salt and pepper.
Notes
Don't build the crostini in advance or the crostini can become soggy.
