The best bolognese sauce - easy & flavorful bolognese recipe

Pasta Bolognese

Ingredients

  • 3 slices bacon sliced in 1/4" strips.
  • 1/2 yellow onion chopped
  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 c milk
  • 1/2 c red wine
  • 1/3 c parmesan
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 box/homemade noodles
  • fresh basil
  • fresh parmesan

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil & prepare noodles.
  2. Meanwhile, in a large saucepan on medium heat, add bacon and fry until almost crisp.
  3. Add chopped onion and cook until tender.
  4. Add ground beef and cook until no longer pink.
  5. Add olive oil, milk, wine, and tomato paste. Reduce on medium low.
  6. Stir parmesan into the sauce. Add noodles to your saucepan & toss.
  7. Add a few large spoonfuls of pasta water to thin sauce if desired. Serve with parmesan & fresh basil.
