Flavorful, hearty, perfectly tender, and a crowd pleaser, this Slow Cooker Pork Ragu will be the easiest thing you make all week. Cooking pork ragu in a slow cooker will make dinnertime effortless!
1poundboneless pork shoulder or butttrimmed and cut in half
1poundpasta
fresh parmesanto taste
salt and pepperto taste
Instructions
In a slow cooker, combine the carrot, onion, garlic, tomato paste, thyme, & oregano. Add the tomatoes with juices and pork - turn to coat.
On low, cook for 8 hours.
Add wine and olive oil while boiling water for pasta.
Cook fettuccine and drain.
Stir sauce well and pull apart pork as needed...it just about falls apart.
Toss pasta in sauce, salt & pepper to taste & serve with fresh parmesan.
Notes
Avoid opening the slow cooker when on to sneak a peek or sniff! Every time you remove the lid, the slow cooker loses some of the heat it has built up, and it takes a while to heat back up to the temperature it was before.
