This fun and cute Halloween Ghost Cake recipe is a perfect centerpiece for this years festivities. This cake consists of a layer of fudge brownie, chocolate ganache & marshmallow ghosts. A tasty and decadent way to celebrate Halloween!
Grease & line a 9" round cake pan with parchment paper {for easy removal}. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Prepare & bake brownie mix according to box directions. Allow to cool & remove from pan.
In a saucepan on medium-high, bring cream to a boil. Add chocolate & let stand for 5 minutes. Remove from heat, stir until smooth & allow to set 5 minutes, then spread onto brownies.
In a double boiler {or create one}, combine sugar, water, egg white, & cream of tartar. Beat 10 minutes or until stiff peaks form. Add vanilla. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Pipe ghosts on using an icing tip & icing bag. {can substitute using a ziplock with a nip out of a corner of the bag. Bake 4 minutes. Create dots with black icing & serve!

Use your favorite boxed fudge cake mix.
Save the inserts that come with your cake pans. I use them as a stencil to cut parchment paper, then grease your pan & insert the parchment paper. It gives you a clean lift to the cake platter - every time!
Bake the cake in a pre heated oven for the best results.
Don't have a double boiler? Create one! Fill your larger pot with water just below where a smaller pot will fit & boil!
