Easy Bread Pudding Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy milk {2% Vitamin D}
  • 1/4 c butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 loaf of brioche {about 7 slices}
  • 2 c brown sugar
  • 1/3 c butter
  • 2 c heavy cream
  • 1/4 c whiskey
  • 1 banana

Instructions

  1. Over medium heat, melt butter and add milk.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine eggs, sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. Slowly incorporate warm mixture into eggs and sugar.
  4. Fold in bread cubes and immediately put into baking dish/dishes.
  5. Refrigerate until ready to serve, then preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  6. Place dishes in a larger bakeware dish, filled halfway with water.
  7. Bake covered 35 minutes {for individual servings, 50 for 9x11}.
  8. Melt butter and brown sugar on medium heat. Whisk in heavy cream and whiskey.
  9. Serve with banana slices.
