Gingerbread Loaf

This classic Gingerbread Loaf is a sweet bread with a little sugar and spice! This easy Gingerbread Loaf recipe is so moist and will make your home smell like Christmas!

Ingredients

  • 4 c flour
  • 2 c sugar
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 c milk
  • 3/4 c molasses mild
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

  2. Combine dry ingredients. Set aside.

  3. In a separate bowl combine eggs, milk, molasses and vegetable oil.

  4. Gradually incorporate dry ingredients into wet until just combined.

  5. Pour mixture into 6 greased miniature loaf pans 3/4 full to compensate for rise.

  6. Bake 50 minutes.

Recipe Notes

You can use 2 - 1 lb loaf pans and adjust baking time to 70 minutes or until it passes the toothpick test.
