Ingredients
1
cup
lime juice
2
cups
simple syrup
1
cup
water
Instructions
In a loaf pan or small freezer safe baking dish, mix lime juice, simple syrup and water.
1 cup lime juice,
2 cups simple syrup,
1 cup water
Freeze overnight. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
Generally a lime will produce about 2 tablespoons of lime juice, so you can estimate you'll need approximately 8 limes for a cup of juice!
Allow the sorbet to soften for 5 minutes at room temperature before scooping.
Store in a freezer-safe container or cover securely in plastic wrap. Double wrap in a freezer bag to store for up to three months.
Substitutions
Use key limes instead of traditional limes, or use lemon juice for a lemon sorbet!
To Make Simple Syrup
For a simply syrup, stir 1
½
cups white granulated sugar and 1
½
cups water in a small saucepan on a stovetop over medium heat.
Continuously stir until sugar dissolves. Allow to cool. You'll use 2 cups for this recipe.
