  • 3/4 c butter softened
  • 3/4 c vegetable oil
  • 1/2 c apple butter
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 c powdered sugar
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 1/2 c flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • apple butter icing


  1. Combine butter, oil, apple butter, sugars and vanilla until smooth. 
  2. Blend in eggs.
  3. Add flour, salt, cream of tartar and baking soda until just blended.

  4. Refrigerate dough covered for 1+ hour. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  5. Roll dough into 1" balls. Bake 8 minutes and allow to cool before icing with apple butter icing.
