Ingredients

  • 11 Tbsp butter
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1/4 c brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla
  • 2 1/2 c flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Topping:

  • 1/2 c powdered sugar {also known as confectioner's sugar}

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat until it turns brown, has a nutty aroma and starts foaming {about 3 minutes}. Allow to cool. 
  2. Combine sugars, eggs and vanilla. Gradually integrate the cooled butter. 
  3. Add flour, baking powder and salt, mix until just combined. Refrigerate dough 1+ hours.
  4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Use a cookie scoop or roll into 1" balls and roll in powdered sugar. 
  5. Bake 10 minutes.
