This is a fall infused Apple buttercream icing, perfect for all of your baked goods! We use apple butter for the richest, most jam-packed apple flavor you can imagine.
In a medium mixing bowl or stand mixer, whip butter, apple butter and apple cider until smooth.
Gradually add powdered sugar until smooth and just combined.
Notes
Bring butter to room temperature before making this icing.
Use frosting at room temperature. If you have made it ahead of time, take it out of the fridge 30 minutes before using it.
It’s quickest and easiest to make this frosting with a stand mixer, but you can mix it by hand, just ensure that everything is well combined.
Use apple cider in my apple butter icing recipe if possible, but if you don’t plan on drinking the remaining apple cider and don’t want waste, you can substitute it with milk.
