Cake Ingredients

butter white sugar vanilla egg whites milk  cake flour baking powder salt

Icing/Topping Ingredients

butter milk powdered sugar cotton candy

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325°F and fill a muffin tin with liners.

Step 2

In a mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar and vanilla until it is light in color.

Step 3

In a separate mixing bowl, combine egg whites and milk, set aside.

Step 4

In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together cake flour, baking powder and salt.

Step 5

Alternate adding dry and wet mixtures to butter, until just combined.

Step 6

Fill muffin tins and bake 20 minutes. Meanwhile, combine icing ingredients until smooth.

Step 7

Add a thin layer of icing to the top of cooled cupcakes, then add a ball of cotton candy.
