You had me at – the shoes! Mandy and Thomas’ Kansas City wedding included both modern and vintage details, diy details, heirloom attire, enlisted the help of some creative friends and a great photographer, Amanda Eaton.
Both the ceremony and reception were held at the historic Alexander Majors Barn, just a couple miles from our home.
Mandy wore her Grandmother’s lace edged veil from 1954.
I loved the groom’s shoe, sock and shoe string ensemble. A nice reprieve from traditional rented black shoes.
The bride and groom created fan programs that included a word search activity to help guests pass the time prior to the ceremony.

Sprigs of rosemary and lavender complimented the yellow billy ball bout.
The bride’s bouquet, designed by friend and aspiring florist, Erin Loganbill, is just stunning!
I love the varying bridesmaid and groomsmen attire.
{and I just adore the simplicity of her hair!}
The venue offered some really great photo opportunities!
The twig chandelier complimented the rustic bar wood. Tables were covered in linens, table runners and decorated with baby’s breath in recycled wine bottles and vases.
Cake and cupcakes were baked with love by friend Amanda Horner of Simply Delicious by Amanda
