One of the reasons I fell in love with our house was because it had a somewhat separate space for my office, with a private entrance. While I spend the majority of my day in it, it is definitely the most neglected space in our house. However, it has so much potential! It’s full of windows and has 2 separate French doors – one on each side. You can only imagine the amount of light it permits! The bonus is, unlike most sunrooms, it has central air and heat. For the last year and a half I’ve been pinning inspiration for the space, but it’s time to stop pinning and start doing!
Given that it feels like an indoor/outdoor space and has a lot of light, I’ve been drawn to a natural fiber carpet like sisal or grasscloth. Let’s take a look at some of my favorite inspiration:
White furniture with a natural rug from Cottage Living – oh how I miss that magazine!
While beautiful, I share my office with Dusty. It’s his entrance and exit into our backyard, which often means muddy paws. I think we can all agree that it’s just not practical. I’m considering these as alternatives:
What do you think? Do you think any are viable alternatives that will give the same aesthetic? These alternatives are stain resistant and easier to clean.
Here are a couple other favorite photos of inspiration:

A round table with chairs overlooking the gardens would be another great workspace and would be a great place to have coffee with clients via Honey We’re Home
What do you think? Do you have any recommendations for me? If all goes well, this project will be well underway before baby!
