  • Everywhere you go today, you’re bound to see green, but are you thinking it? Thinking green{er} means thinking responsibly. While it would be ideal for all events to be green, it’s not always easy or cost effective. However, there are ways to be more responsible in your planning and actually save money!

Ask your florist to select local, in season flowers or use plants that can be given to guests. Centerpieces can be “recycled” as gifts to hospitals or nursing homes.
For invitations, eliminate the inner envelope and reception card. The reception details can be noted on the invitation itself.
Renting items rather than purchasing them is not only a green idea, but it’s also cost effective! If you do purchase items, consider donating them.
An outdoor, daytime event uses less resources than an indoor, evening event.
Forgo a trolley or limo bus and have your wedding party use their own transportation or opt for a traditional limousine.
Choose a coordinator that understands the elements of green to help you make careful choices and select vendors who are also conscious.
    Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
