  • You Oughta Know About Table Numbers, written by Julie Blanner, Coordinately Yours
In addition to seat assignments, table numbers can be another way to show your unique style.  However, there are a few things to keep in mind.  If you are having 10 or more tables {100 or more guests}, I recommend using numbers over a theme.  There is no way of distinguishing an order for the tables when using a theme.  For example, if you are doing cities, how would your guests or event staff easily determine whether Boston was in the far left corner, or far right?  Table numbers are easy and consistent to understand.

I do recommend coordinating your numbers with your stationary or design.  Don’t fall victim to a beautiful centerpiece paired with a hotel number.  For very little money, you can create a big impact and compliment your design.
