After Alt, my friend and fellow blogger Erin of Pretty, Polished, Perfect & I made an escape to Park City, Utah for the Sundance Film Festival & some “me” time. From start to finish, it was an adventure to remember! We rented a car and drove a half hour into the beautiful mountains of Park City. From the moment I arrived, I knew it was the place for me! Adorable cottages, boutique filled streets, & beautiful slopes welcomed us into the city.

Before we left, we signed up for a wait list number, not really understanding how it would work. We stopped by the box office & selected films we were interested in seeing that were available for wait list & started plotting our attempts to see our first film at Sundance. 2 hours before a film, we would login to our apps in hopes of receiving a wait list number…when we didn’t, we perused the area, indulged on ice cream & just enjoyed the childless day.

Finally, we received numbers to see Whitey. We hopped on a bus off to the theatre to get in line – and made it in! It felt spontaneous. After the film, the director hosted Q&A while we ventured to the Awards Party.

Oh, and there’s “what I wore to Park City”. Traveling with Erin is great because you have a built-in stylist! I wore: J. Crew Majesty peacoat, J. Crew pixie pant in black {my favorite, they’re so versatile!}, the thickest, warmest, wool sweater I own, my Frye boots & venus flytrap necklace. Classic comfort & warmth.
