Melt in Your Mouth Sugar Cookie Bars with Buttercream Frosting

buttercream icing

  • 1 c butter, softened
  • 5 c powdered sugar
  • 1/4 milk


  1. Combine butter, oil, sugars & vanilla until smooth. Blend in eggs.
  2. Add flour, salt, cream of tarter & baking soda until blended in.
  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  4. Press dough into a greased 9x13 {or 9x9} pan, and use parchment paper to smooth the top if desired.
  5. Bake 20 minutes watching carefully as to not over bake.
  6. Combine 1 c softened butter, 5 c powdered sugar and ΒΌ c milk until smooth.
  7. Allow bars cool before icing, slice and serve.
