Rice Krispy Treat Recipes

  • My sister-in-law, Ellen of White Table Style, and I were talking about the different variations of rice krispy treats the other night.  I realized, it had been quite some time since I topped them with peanut butter and chocolate.
    Make rice krispy treats according to the package {I use 4 tbsp butter, 3 cups marshmallows and 6 cups Rice Krispies.}  Allow them to cool.  Melt 1 cup peanut butter.  Spread over the treats with a spatula.  Refrigerate 10 minutes.  Melt 1 cup milk chocolate chips and spread over the refrigerated mixture.  Allow to set and enjoy!
    Ellen mentioned reading about caramel rice krispy treats.  I decided to use the same concept and give them a try!
    In a double broiler, melt 30 caramels.  Pour over treats.  Refrigerate for 10 minutes.  Spread melted chocolate chips and allow to set.
