Repurposing

I often challenge myself to rethink an item and find a new purpose for it so that I am never wasteful.  Below, is a gold vintage jewelry tray, easily found at a thrift shop, antique store or your mother’s dresser. I created 4 alternative uses for it perfect for a shower, birthday or wedding.

Doesn’t it make a gorgeous cake pedestal?  The soft pinks and ivories are a beautiful compliment to the gold.

I love how reflection from the mirror illuminates the cake.  Simply romantic and sweet.

Below, the jewelry tray creates the perfect foundation for an overflowing floral arrangement of hydrangea, dahlias, and garden roses.

This centerpiece is significant in size, yet guests can easily see across the table and enjoy one another.

The use of a dry erase marker converts a jewelry tray into a welcome sign.

Tired of the usual birdcage or box card holder?  The jewelry tray makes an elegant statement.
