Another month breezed by in the blink of an eye. I’m so inspired by fall that I never took a moment to truly embrace it. I had a magical to do list that I desperately wanted to accomplish & spent little time just admiring the changing of the leaves {though they changed nearly overnight in Missouri}. While many are planning for Christmas, I’m looking forward to taking the month of November in. We’ve planned an extended weekend at one of my favorite getaways – Big Cedar Lodge. I can’t wait to sit back, relax & enjoy the simple pleasures of fall, including the crisp morning air. However, October was filled with a lot of highlights! It was just a little busier than I had anticipated!

We made a few trips to the pumpkin patch for a little fall fun, spent countless hours taking long walks & playing with the girls in the front yard & even more countless hours driving to & from Kansas City to see the Royals in the playoffs/World Series! As much fun as it was, I breathed a sigh of relief that baseball ended with October. A little trunk or treat, trick or treat & a trip to the wineries rounded out the month & my heart in an incredible way. Rather than share photos from October posts, I’m sharing the life behind the blog. It’s a hint of what inspires me & the content that lives here.
Much to my surprise, Adalyn didn’t ask to be Elsa this year. She asked to be whatever Isla was. It melted my heart. I took the opportunity to coordinate the girls as swans. The Blanner bevy.
I also realized why most parents take photos before they trick-or-treat. It was cold & the girls desperately wanted a piece of their bounty!
Each day I passed by this tree envisioned a photo of the girls on that bench. It was one of the few trees in the area that didn’t go from green to brown this year & the bench was perfectly positioned for a photo op. No posing, just being kids.
We live far from Napa, but still find opportunity to relax in vineyards, enjoying a glass of wine with friends. The girls loved roaming the vines Chris hopes to plant on our land next year.
Wishing you a November filled with fun, love, family & friends!
