No Sew Pillow

  • I have been using Pinterest to collect ideas for decorating our home.  I wanted a soft, neutral space, but couldn’t stop thinking about this ticking stripe duvet either.  I decided on the best of both worlds.  An oatmeal linen duvet and shams, complete with a “ticking stripe” throw pillow.
I found this fabric for just $4.50/yard and have plenty to spare for another project!  I used a down pillow insert from Pottery Barn.  Using the pillow measurements, I just added an inch of fabric and cut along the natural lines of my fabric.

For 3 of the seams, I used stitch witchery tape, pinning and ironing it to create seams.  I then turned it inside out, inserted the pillow, and used liquid stitch {and pins to hold it for a few moments} to complete the last seam.  Truly, it couldn’t have been easier.  However, from my hatred of ironing, I’d almost prefer to sew!

I look forward to sharing our completed master bedroom with you soon!
