Wedding gowns are rarely shared outside of photos after the ceremony. I have never known someone to wear their mother’s wedding gown (in recent years), so what are we saving them for? To be stored in a box in the basement? Your gown can become a celebration of family making hankies for your son’s tux, bonnets and booties for the babies in the family, or christening gowns. The details can be reworked to create yet another (and often several) family heirlooms. Can’t part with your gown? See if your mother or mother in law are ready!
