Kansas City Wedding at Visitation

Audrey and Seth married in Kansas City, June 2012.  For them, it was a destination wedding.  They married at beautiful Visitation Catholic Church in South Plaza.  They were undecided on whether or not they wanted to do a first look, so they incorporated the best of both worlds.  Before the ceremony, they met at the corner of the church and shared a comforting moment {never seeing one another} before Seth saw Audrey walk down the aisle.
These two couldn’t stop smiling!

I love the ornate details of Visitation.
Audrey incorporated one of my favorite trends in recent years – a petite bouquet for the flower girl.  These are also great for mother’s in lieu of a traditional corsage.

Just after the ceremony, the wedding party gathered at their favorite bar down the street for a celebratory drink.

Just down the street, they visited Kauffman Memorial Gardens for photographs.

They also ventured to the Performing Arts Center for a few formal wedding party photographs.  I love the contrast!

The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts has been such a beautiful addition to our city!

Audrey and Seth selected one of my favorite caterers – Olive Events.  They offer excellent service, beautiful presentation and exquisite food!

Isn’t the fruit and cheese display gorgeous?

To label the foods, they used the little chalkboard place cards that I adore.
This hors d’oeuvres had me craving more.  The naughty cream corn with smoky shrimp was my favorite.
