This Fall, our house is on the market, which unfortunately means I had to go light on the Fall decor.  I couldn’t let the season escape me though!  This year I added a cinderella gourd {green}, cheese gourd and a butternut squash to the front porch, all lightly coated in bleach to kill bacteria.

Three gourds, green, orange, and cream colored.
A white miniature gourd has been placed among old books, a 1904 World’s Fair napkin ring, a vintage photograph, and a bird.

Often I fill my fireplace with pumpkins, this year one will do.

The glass cloche is used in a variety of ways at our house.  Today, it graces our kitchen table adding height to the beautiful cheese gourd Adalyn found.

Something about birds and pumpkins provides a slightly creepy look for Halloween.  You can see how adding a glass cloche changes the look.  For more Halloween ideas, click here.  I also love incorporating my burlap table runner.  It’s a great base for a line of pumpkins or gourds!
